Learning To Drive - Passes and Awards
Learning to drive in Walthamstow, Chingford, Leyton, Leytonstone or Wanstead is a challenge.
According to the DSA, the current average pass rates for the three test centres I cover are Chingford (36%), Loughton (36%) and Wanstead (30%). For all 3 test centres, 1st time pass average is approx 10%.
The DSA released figures of number of hours that the AVERAGE L Test candidate takes before passing the driving test.
Their statistics show 45 hours with an Instructor and 22 hours of private practice. A total of 67 hours for the AVERAGE driver taught by the AVERAGE instructor. (Source: www.direct.gov.uk )
That means the AVERAGE Driving Instructor is presenting pupils that need 67 hours of training and 3 attempts to pass the driving test.
As a Driving Instructor offering Driving lessons from my Driving School based in Walthamstow, I feel it is important to maintain higher than average training standards to maximise my learner drivers chances of not just passing the DSA Driving Test, but to pass it FIRST TIME.
This year, my AVERAGE pupil passes FIRST TIME with just 4 driving faults.
That equates to a whopping saving of the cost of lessons of what it costs most learners to gain their driving licence
